I infuse my work with the unreal, surreal, super real and real, layering imagery and meaning in recognizable or abstracted forms, aiming to arrive with symbolic signifiers of latent messages (SYMBOLIC REALISM).

The technique I use to create “soft paintings” employs heat transfers of enlarged, computer-developed, layered imagery originating from scans of my photographs and/or actual objects. The assembled fabric construction is layered, quilted, embroidered, appliquéd and embellished.
