The flow of life with its many passages of complexity is my concern.  Obstacles, openings, beginnings, endings, detours, and rapids are some of the aspects of the movement which I strive to depict.  At times life seems intensely complex, while alternatively it is serene/peaceful, even boring.  My vocabulary to express this journey is mark making with ink, graphite, paint, and printmaking.  This process causes me to be both obsessive and free/gestural and the final results cathartic.
